Bella Hersman is frequently told she is "quirky," the oft-abused word people use when they don't quite know what to make of someone. Then again, Bella's creative pursuits range from Shakespearean clowning to animal essence-ing swamp chickens, so maybe they're right.

 

Yankee-born and Appalachia-raised, Bella followed her baby actor dreams to Missouri State University, where she was a member of the BFA Acting for the Stage and Screen class of 2025.​

 

At MSU, Bella was given the space to explore her interest in new works as well as her treasured classics. She has a particular passion for exploring women's struggles and LGBTQ identity in her work. ​

​

But Missouri isn’t the only place Bella’s trekked for acting. In the summer of 2023, Bella studied classical acting at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.​​

​

Bella has always been drawn to portrait painting, and is currently experimenting with oils.

 

She is a published poet.

 

Bella is on a quest to become a cinephile.
